HOT TOPICS & GREAT CONVERSATION

Great Conversations Highlights Great Conversations is a signature event benefiting the College of Arts & Science. Prominent professors facilitate conversations on diverse, exciting and stimulating topics. The event also increases public awareness about the important cultural and intellectual role that the College of Arts & Sciences plays in the city of Memphis.

The evening is arranged much like a dinner party with great conversation as its focus. Tables are set to seat no more than ten, and a different conversation topic is assigned to each table in advance. Each table has a leader that is faculty member with special expertise on the topic. Guests are almost always seated at a table featuring one of their three top choices of topics. A buffet supper is served, and the real fun begins with coffee and dessert. The event has been so successful that, when the evening is over, it is very difficult to get the guests to leave!

The 7th annual Great Conversations was a success thanks to our faculty, guests, and sponsors.
