OPTOMETRY ADMISSION TEST INFORMATION

Optometry Admissions Test Update

The written version of the optometry admission is being replaced by a computerized version. The last written test will be administered on October 15, 2005. Electronic testing will be available year round. The examinee can select the date, time, and place to of the test and receive the scores immediately after the completion of the test at the test center. General information about the OAT and an electronic application are available online at www.opted.org

Optometry Resource Information

The Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry (ASCO) web site has excellent information for students interested in optometry.

It also allows students to register for the OAT electronically and to request copies of their scores from previous tests on-line (look for the HOT BUTTON).
