Safe Campus for Faculty and Staff

If a student comes to you for help:

STEP 1:

If there is an immediate threat to safety or if victim needs medical attention call UofM Campus Police Services  (678-4357). They can call for ambulance  service, etc.

STEP 2:

Offer to call a friend or family member of victim and wait with victim until support arrives.

STEP 3:

Encourage victim to call CRISIS-7 (274-7477), offer to dial the number, and offer victim privacy to discuss the incident or situation on the phone.  (Staff at CRISIS-7 will explain additional support and reporting options available to the victim, including referrals to the UofM Counseling Center.)
