The ERC provides an array of services to the public and to the scientific community. These services range from:

• providing information concerning ecological issues
• providing guidance on urban development
• holding workshops on urban ecology topics
• presenting a talk to a community group
• judging a science fair for local schools
• serving as an officer in a scientific organization
• working in an editorial position for a scientific publication
• providing testimony at public hearings on specific areas of expertise
