Academic Summary

Joshua Phillips received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Chicago. He is currently at work on a book on intellectual property and aesthetics in early modern England and on a second project concerning early modern alienation in Europe. His research interests include Medieval and Renaissance European literature (including British), the history of the book, law and literature, and literary theory.
